Continuing the 200-year Troxell farming
tradition, owners Galen, an engineer, and Sarah, a chemist,
have established a premium Vineyard on the family heirloom.
Award winning, hand crafted wines begin in the shale filled
slopes of the hilltop vineyard. Following hand harvesting,
fermentation and barrel aging occur in century old Stone Cellars.
Year round complementary wine sampling is offered in our Tasting
Room from a diverse and ever changing wine list. The popular
Tractor and Wagon Tours of the Vineyard and Wine Cellars,
scheduled seasonally, are a unique opportunity to experience
all aspects of the grape growing and winemaking processes.
Lastly, the grand panoramic view of rural Pennsylvania, stretching
from Hawk Mountain to Palmerton Water Gap, reminds all visitors
of the natural serenity captured one bottle at a time by Galen
Glen.
Directions
From the North, take Rt. 309S to Rt. 443E 4.5 miles. At JEM
car museum, turn right onto Cold Spring Rd. 2 miles. Then,
turn right onto Winter Mountain Dr. 1 mile to Winery. From
the South, take Rt. 309N to Rt. 895E 4 miles to Andreas. Turn
left on Andreas Rd. After 0.5 miles, take hard left onto Winter
Mountain Dr. 1.3 miles to Winery.
